Our Muhr TinKart® has won yet another award: at the end of 2025, we received two new awards for our tinplate cartridge at the Cans of the Year Awards in Dublin.
At a festive gala dinner, the Muhr TinKart® received first prize in the ‘Sustainability’ category and the silver medal in the ‘General Line’ category, i.e. for products without further categorisation.
Sustainable packaging solution
After receiving numerous awards in 2024 – including the Worldstar Global Packaging Award – we are particularly delighted about these additional prizes, which are a well-deserved recognition of our many years of research and development into sustainable packaging solutions.
The tinplate cartridge for silicone, acrylic and various other adhesives and sealants represents a significant advance in the field of sustainable packaging and offers almost 100 per cent recyclability.
By using bluemint® packaging steel with a higher proportion of scrap material, our packaging makes a significant contribution to the circular economy and to reducing CO2 emissions.
‘Cans of the Year’ is an international industry competition in which the trade journal ‘The Canmaker’ honours the most innovative and technically advanced metal packaging worldwide every year. The awards are considered one of the most prestigious accolades for design, technology and sustainability in the can and metal packaging industry. The Cans of the Year Awards recognise technological developments, design quality and sustainability achievements in metal packaging in segments such as beverages, food, technical or special applications.
